Syracuse, N.Y. -- A foot or more of snow and some sleet are headed for Upstate New York tonight and into Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The hardest-hit area of Upstate is likely to be Western New York, where 18 inches of snow could fall as the coastal storm is nudged inland by a high pressure system. Central New York could still see a foot of snow, while areas east of I-81 will get less snow but more sleet and freezing rain.
