Coaches getting that cash.

USA TODAY does a great job of keeping track of coaches bonuses with publicly available contracts from non-private institutions. For the Mountain West’s case, that means the bonuses for Air Fore are not publicly available.

This year, the coach that made the most money is first-year head coach Blake Anderson who took home $165,000 in bonuses for going to a bowl game, appearing in the Mountain West title, winning the conference title and also being ranked in either the final Associated Press or coaches top 25 polls.

In total, there were two other coaches who reached six-figures in bonuses with San Diego State’s Brady Hoke earned $135,000, $125,000 for now former Fresno State head coach Kalen DeBoer, Jay Norvell formerly of Nevada but now at Colorado State earned $115,000.

No bonuses were awarded to the head coaches at New Mexico, San Jose State, Colorado State, and UNLV.
