As snow continues to blanket much of the state Tuesday night, local forecasters are documenting how much snow each community across the Commonwealth has seen so far.
The National Weather Service released a map of the latest observed snow totals as of 10:30 p.m., showing up to 4.8 inches near Sterling and down to 2 inches near West Springfield.

Locals also responded to the post with measurements of their own — while one person noted that Hudson had accumulated 4.1 inches, another shared a photo of their ruler protruding from the packed powder outside and marking close to 4 inches in North Middleboro.
The weather service reported that the “light snow” will overspread Mass., Connecticut, and Rhode Island through the evening, bringing anywhere from one to four inches through Wednesday.
Charles Orloff, Executive Director of The Blue Hill Observatory and Science Center in Milton, also tweeted a video from Cape Cod showing the snowflakes “closing in on 4 inches.”
