Snow in the metro Portland area may be nonexistent Thursday, but along the Cascade passes is an entirely different story.

The Cascade Range is under a winter weather advisory from the National Weather Service in Portland through 9 p.m. Thursday and snow totals have already begun accumulating. Snow is expected to grow above 2,000 feet with strong winds, limited visibility and fierce driving conditions.
