TEMPE, Ariz. — The Oregon women's lacrosse team was unable to keep pace with the highest scoring offense in the Pac-12 on Friday as the Ducks fell to Arizona State, 18-6.

How it Happened: Arizona State (6-2, 3-1 Pac-12) entered the weekend averaging a league-best 17.7 goals per game, and the Sun Devils stayed on that pace with 10 goals in the first half and eight in the second.

The Ducks (1-6, 1-2 Pac-12) kept up with ASU early on, answering each of the Sun Devils' first three goals with one of their own to make it 3-3 through the first 14 minutes. Katie Collins found the back of the net less than a minute-and-a-half into the game for Oregon's first goal, and Hanna Hilcoff followed with back-to-back scores as the sophomore continued to rack up goals early in her career.

But the Sun Devils finished the first half on a 7-1 run to take a 10-4 lead into the break, and then outscored the Ducks 8-2 in the second half to finish off the win. Lillian Stump scored two of Oregon's final three goals, and sophomore Bailey Smith notched the first of her career in the final two minutes of the game.

Who Stood Out: Stump led the way with four total points, finishing with two goals and two assists. Hilcoff scored twice, recording multiple goals for the ninth straight game dating back to last season and the 13th time in 14 games to open her career. Collins and Smith each had one goal, while Alli Bateman and Nakeeya McCardell had one assist apiece. Senior goalkeeper Alle Dunbar matched her career-high with 14 saves.

Up Next: The Ducks will travel to Los Angeles to face USC on Sunday at 12 p.m. PT.
