VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – Coronavirus vaccine shots will be available at Dayton Stadium from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Jan. 4 and Jan. for people 65 and older.

The Daytona Beach Police Department said due to the anticipation of the event a traffic flow plan has been released.

The plan was based on traffic flow plans from Bike Week and the Daytona 500.

Cars will enter begin their route at the north entrance of Daytona Stadium.

Police said officers will implement a one-way traffic flow and patients will drive out the south entrance after receiving their vaccination.

The north entrance will open two hours in advance and shots will be distributed on a first-come, first-first serve basis.

1,000 shots will be distributed each day and police said officers will keep count to make sure they can block the entrance once they hit capacity.

Once the event hits capacity, officers will direct people trying to get into the stadium to try the next day.

Electronic message boards along LPGA Boulevard will also have status updates.

Police do not encourage anyone to camp out the night before an event.

Officers said anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the past two weeks or had a COVID-19 vaccine shot in the past two weeks will not be allowed to get a shot.
