The National Weather Service is tracking how much snow has fallen across Massachusetts so far, and much of Greater Boston and Eastern Massachusetts has missed the bulk of the storm with less than 3 inches of reported snowfall.
The reported totals are much higher just to the west, according to reports shared by the service a little past 11 p.m. Monday. A foot or more was reported in places like Framingham, Lexington, and Worcester.
For the record, the storm hasn’t conveniently avoided bits of Central Massachusetts and Northeastern Connecticut, as this map might imply. As the service points out, the map does not reflect completely accurate snowfall totals across the region, as it relies on independent submissions. Worcester County’s Barre, Fiskdale, and Charlton, for example, haven’t seen updates since much earlier in the day.
The storm has hit much harder in other parts of the northeast. Places in Western Connecticut are seeing over 14 inches, while some towns in New Jersey are reporting up to 30 inches of snow.
Here are the totals reported in several Massachusetts towns. This list is approximate and only includes reports between 8 p.m. and 11:05 p.m. Monday.
