DENVER — A mid-week snowstorm will bring 4 to 8 inches of snow to Denver.
The National Weather Service (NWS) in Boulder is calling for 4-8 inches across the Denver metro, with amounts as high as 8 inches in the foothills and Boulder and 6 inches further south, in the Castle Rock area. And it looks like that should be the case for the mountains as well — 1-2 inches along I-70, with the highest amounts in the foothills.
The NWS has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for most of the Front Range, including Denver.
Here's the latest snowfall forecast from the NWS:
Snow is expected to accumulate to — 4-8 inches — with lesser amounts further to the east.
This storm is expected to make Thursday morning's commute "heavily impacted," according to the NWS.
Temperatures in Denver will dip to around 20 degrees, though the weather will dry out for the weekend with highs in the 40s. In the mountains, we'll see a chance of snow on Saturday and Sunday, with an uptick in snow developing late Friday night in the high country.
