CHARLESTON — Skylar Davidson scored 17 points, handed out 14 assists and collected seven steals to lead second-seed Wyoming East to a 75-44 win over third-seed Petersburg Friday in Class AA semifinal action.

The Lady Warriors (10-2) will face top-seed Parkersburg Catholic at 12:30 p.m. today in the title game.

Abby Russell had a game-high 18 points for Wyoming East.

Madison Clark chipped in 15 and Daisha Summers 12.

Jenna Burgess led the Lady Vikings (15-2) with 14 points. Kayla Lantz added 13.

Parkersburg Catholic (18-0) advanced with a convincing 69-42 win over No. 5 Williamstown as Leslie Huffman fired in 22 points and dished out 10 assists and Aaliyah Brunny hit for 18 points.

Nicole Reynolds had 16 points for Williamstown.

Class AAAA

Huntington 55

Morgantown 40

Top-seed Huntington outscored No. 4 Morgantown, 16-4, in the second quarter in cruising to a 55-40 in Class AAAA semifinal play.

The Lady Highlanders (15-1) will face the winner of Friday night’s late game between No. 2 Cabell Midland and No. 3 George Washington at 8 p.m. today in the title tilt.

Ravyn Goodson had 16 points and Dionna Gray 13 points and six assists for Huntington, which led 10-9 after the first quarter.

Sofia Wassick had 13 points and Catherine Wassick added 11 for the Lady Mohigans (12-3).

Class AAA

Fairmont Senior, Nitro advance

Top-seed Fairmont Senior and No. 3 Nitro will play for the Class AAA title after picking up wins in the semifinals on Friday.

WVU commit Marley Washenitz fired in 26 points as the Lady Polar Bears (17-0) took control in the second half to wipe out a 19-18 halftime deficit in besting No. 4 Logan, 52-33.

Peyton Ilderton led Logan (12-4) with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Nitro (17-1) knocked off second-seed North Marion, 79-63, earlier on Friday as Taylor Maddox fired in 30 points and Baylee Goins added 20.

Olivia Toland paced the Lady Huskies (14-1) with 22 points and 12 rebounds, followed by Emma Freels with 14 points and Adryan Stemple with 10.
