Happy Fourth of July weekend, Dawg fans, and welcome to today’s Dots.
- But first, a message from American national treasure Dolly Parton:

- The decision expected by most - JTT’s commitment to Ohio State - is the scenario that creates the fewest column inches in this edition of Dots. In the end, there were no surprises - no last second maneuvers shocking us to joy or dread. And now we can all finally move on.
Reminds me of this scene from the film Hoosiers (1986):
Some ref: “Coach you need one more.”
Gene Hackman: “My team’s on the floor.”
- This piece from Husky Maven serves to remind that players leaving home is nothing new. And somehow the sun still comes up each morning.
J.T. Tuimoloau wasn't the first high-profile local recruit who's gone elsewhere, turning down UW advances. We have 10 others who did this.https://t.co/MVfnth0zhW

- Forget those NIL opportunities from the local tech giants. THIS is it right here:
- Once a Dawg, always a Dawg.
Congrats to incoming Husky Nathan Green, winning two major titles in the mile in two days in two different states!
Runs 4:01.76 on Friday to win the Brooks PR Invite in Renton, WA then heads to Eugene and wins Outdoor Nationals on Saturday in 4:03.30.#GoHuskies https://t.co/txVUC6t7yJ

- A member of the College Football Hall of Fame, Terry Donahue was UCLA head coach for 20 years and won 7 consecutive bowl games in the 1980’s, including three Rose Bowls. Donahue’s legacy harkens back to the era of John Robinson, Don James, and Rich Brooks.
Terry Donahue, the winningest coach in Pacific-12 and UCLA football history, passed away tonight, at his home surrounded by family, following a two-year battle with cancer. He was 77. RIP to a coaching legend.
